Dolly Parton, For King and Country & Zach Williams Delivered a Faith-Filled 2019 CMA Performance

Dolly Parton promised an uplifting CMA Awards performance in 2019 and the country legend delivered with her faith-filled medley with For King and Country and Zach Williams. Parton performed "God Only Knows" with For King and Country and "There Was Jesus" with Zach Williams. She also performed "Faith," an EDM-inspired song she released earlier in 2019.

Earlier that year, Parton explained that she wanted to bring a little light to a dark world.

"This world is just so dark and ugly and awful," Parton said. "I can't believe how we just can't have a little more light and a little more love. So I'm gonna try and make it my business to do more songs that are more uplifting. Not just all Christian-based songs, but songs that are just about better things, and have a little more light."
