Lainey Wilson Rocks 'Yellowstone' Style on Nashville New Year's Eve Special

Lainey Wilson looked like she stepped off the set of the western series.

On CBS' Sunday night (Dec. 31) broadcast of "New Year's Eve Live: Nashville's Big Bash," Lainey Wilson looked like she'd stepped off the set of "Yellowstone" as a different character than Abby, the musician she portrays on the series. For her solo set and her guest appearance during headlining band Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama," Wilson wore a stunning, fuzzy-trimmed tench coat that suited her western wear style and borrowed cues from Kelly Reilly's "Yellowstone" character, Beth Dutton.

Beneath her coat, Wilson wore a sparkly, silver bell bottoms jumpsuit and a fringed vest. She completed her look with a silver-banded cowboy hat from Modern Myth Jewelry. It's in the spirit of Wilson's usual style, just fancier for the champagne bottle-popping occasion and cozier for an outdoor concert during the winter.

Wilson's coat game has been strong lately, as seen during her most recent appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

As for Wilson's solo set, she performed a variety of her hits, including "Watermelon Moonshine," "Smells Like Smoke," "Things a Man Oughta Know," "Grease," current single "Wildflowers and Wild Horses" and, as seen below, "Heart Like a Truck."

Wilson's New Year's Eve gig capped off one of the more eventful years of her country music career. She took home multiple CMA awards in November, including the evening's top prize, Entertainer of the Year. Wilson also won the 2023 CMA Award for Female Vocalist of the Year, and her Bell Bottom Country LP claimed Album of the Year. She shared Video of the Year and Musical Event of the Year with Hardy for their collaboration "Wait in the Truck."

She heads into 2024 with the first two Grammy nominations of her career: Best Country Album for Bell Bottom Country and Best Country Duo/Group Performance for her Jelly Roll collaboration "Save Me."
