There are a few hard moments that come up in the life of every parent, and Yellowstone actor Cole Hauser recently experienced one when he dropped his son, Ryland, off to college. The actor's son will be attending Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, and Hauser's wife Cynthia shared a series of photos from the emotional day they dropped him off on campus.
The photos show the events of the day: From a selfie of Ryland and his parents in his dorm, to photos of Hauser helping his son move in, to a picture of the father and son seemingly dining together. The final photos show Ryland giving his mom one last hug and then walking away while waving at his parents. Cynthia shared a caption that summed up their emotions for the day.
"And just like that my baby boy is starting his life," she wrote. "Dad and I are so proud of you Ryland!! We know you'll touch so many lives! Thank you for being open to learning from us, sharing your enormous heart, and making Steely and Colt feel so special. We'll miss you very much honey."
Hauser commented on the post to send his own well wishes to his son.
"Have the time of your life son! U deserve it," he writes.
The post collected many good luck comments from fans and other public figures as well. Nic Sheridan, wife of Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, shared her enthusiasm, writing, "Yay!!!! So exciting." Country singer Randy Houser also commented, comparing the emotional day to an experience he had with his young son.
"Tough but beautiful time I'm sure. Just took my middle son to preschool. Watching him walk away with his teacher and into a new chapter. Strange liquid fell from my eyes," wrote the singer.
Hauser and his wife married in 2006, and they share three children, including son Colt and daughter Steely Rose in addition to Ryland.
