Yellowstone's Cole Hauser is picking up a new side hustle amid the ongoing actors' and writers' strikes in Hollywood.
Hauser has launched his own brand of coffee called the Free Rein Coffee Company.
"I've grown up around cowboys my whole life," the Santa Barbara, California, native posted on his Instagram page. "And I can tell you, there's nobody on earth who works harder."
"I'm proud to announce that I've decided to start a coffee company inspired by these men and women who wake up before the dawn," added Hauser, whose father is actor Wings Hauser. "Not because it's easy, but because it's hard."
"Free Rein is for anyone who gets up and works like a cowboy, gets up and chases a dream, or gets up and just feels like having a damn good cup of coffee," he added. "So get up and get after it. Dreams don't work unless you do."
Free Rein coffee and its accompanying merch will be available this fall. The bean flavor included in his Instagram announcement is American Dirt Dark Roast — sounds strong.
Add that to all the other Yellowstone-branded foodstuffs hitting the shelves, and you can eat and drink like a Dutton for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They've got a variety of seasonings and meat rubs, including flavors like Cattleman Steak and Skillet Butter & Herb. They've got Angus Beef Chili. They've got beef sticks and sausages. All of it is available at Walmart, Kroger, Amazon, H.E.B. and select Safeway and Albertsons stores. Starting this October, they'll offer breakfast meats at Walmart, too.
While we can fill our stomachs with plenty of Yellowstone, our televisions will remain starved for the foreseeable future. The release of the back half of season 5 is entirely dependent upon an agreement between Hollywood producers and the picketing writers and actors, who demand fair pay for streaming and concrete laws against AI. The writers' strike reached the 100-day mark on Wednesday, August 9.
