The Lake Tahoe, Nevada ranch where the opening sequence of the long running television show Bonanza was filmed has sold for $38 million, the Los Angeles Times reports.
The property was used to portray the Ponderosa Ranch, where the Cartwright family lived and worked for 14 seasons. The 24-acre property is located on the east shore of Lake Tahoe in Zephyr Cove and includes two homes with a combined 9 bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms and a square footage of over 18,000 feet.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the property includes beamed ceilings, hand-carved fireplaces, chandeliers, picture windows, a wine cellar, a movie theater and more. The Cartwrights definitely didn't live like this.

The property was first put on the market in 2016, when it was listed along with another property for $59 million.
Bonanza, which starred Lorne Greene, Michael Landon, Dan Blocker and Pernell Roberts, premiered in 1959 and ran for over 400 episodes. The series ended in 1973 and is NBC's longest-running western series.
The series was so popular that it spawned a popular restaurant chain and a theme park. The Ponderosa Ranch theme park opened in 1968 and featured a full scale replica of the Cartwright ranch house. The park closed in 2004.
Bonanza star Michael Landon's daughter Jennifer is currently starring on the hit Paramount Network series Yellowstone.
The Bonanza property is far from the only TV show location to rake in millions. The mansion featured on The Beverly Hillbillies sold for around $150 million in December of 2019. Originally, the Clampett mansion had a $350 million price tag, making it the highest priced piece of real estate in the nation.
