Yellowstone season 4 is coming up this summer and we can't wait to see what's in store for all of our favorite characters. Creator and executive producer Taylor Sheridan has done a masterful job at creating a modern western series that resonates with young and old viewers, not to mention he landed Hollywood legend Kevin Costner to be the star.
While we love the Dutton family, the series wouldn't be the same without the Dutton family foes around town who are constantly rooting against the empire they've worked so hard to build. But every season a villain (or two) emerges who is so threatening, they are willing to do whatever it takes to bring John Dutton down...even kill. Here's our ranking of the show's villains through season 3 (warning, spoilers ahead!).
4. Jamie Dutton
We have to put Jamie at the bottom of the list because...it's Jamie. He's easily the most selfish character in the series which you uncover more and more as the show goes on. Can we talk about that big reveal in Season 3? And I'm not talking about finding out Jamie was adopted. If a teenage Jamie can not even blink knowing he's the reason behind his sister not being able to have children, who knows what he's capable of as an adult. But compared to the other villains on the series, Jamie's easily the least threatening because he does what's in his personal best interest. It has been interesting watching his temper come out from time to time as well...you almost feel like you're watching Bruce Banner turn into the Hulk.
Wes Bentley has done a great job creating a complicated character over the past three seasons. The actor is known for appearing in The Hunger Games, American Horror Story, American Beauty, and more.

3. Dan Jenkins
In season 1, Dan Jenkins comes into the picture as a land developer from Los Angeles who makes it his personal goal to take the Yellowstone ranch away from the Dutton family. Jenkins, played by Danny Huston, finds himself in a battle with not only John, but Beth Dutton, and decides to align himself with Chief Rainwater. He's slightly more intense than the Chief mostly because he's bringing resources and power from California to back up his cause.
Huston is best known for appearing on the medical investigation series CSI, American Horror Story, Succession, and more. Fun fact, his half-sister is Anjelica Huston.
2. Malcolm and Teal Beck
In season 2, Dan Jenkins' dreams of a casino partnership with Chief Rainwater are put in jeopardy when the Beck brothers come into the picture. Essentially cowboy gangsters, Malcolm (Neal McDonough) and Teal (Terry Serpico) try to align themselves with John Dutton on the TV series and don't take his rejection lightly. In fact, the season ends with a seriously epic showdown between the brothers and the Duttons. The two brothers can really only be described as ravenous in their attempts to get their way.
McDonough tells Good Housekeeping that he thinks that Yellowstone is actually more of a gangster show than a cowboy western. An interesting point considering the violence that takes place in each season.
"I really consider Yellowstone more of a gangster series. The only difference is that those typically take place in New York or Chicago, but this one takes place in the mountains with horses and cowboy hats."
While Serpico is best known for the TV show Rescue Me, McDonough has a lengthy filmography appearing on nearly every show you could imagine -- Desperate Housewives, the miniseries Tin Man, HBO's Band of Brothers, Justified, Boomtown, Project Blue Book, Altered Carbon, and The Incredible Hulk. He's also known for playing the role of Damien Darhk in DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Green Arrow, and The Flash, as well as Dum Dum Dugan in Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Agent Carter, and upcoming What If...?. He's appeared in a few video games and countless films including Star Trek: First Contact, Minority Report, Walking Tall, The Guardian, Flags of Our Fathers, The Hitcher, Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2, Proud Mary, Sonic the Hedgehog, Captain America: The First Avenger, Monsters Of Man, and Angels in the Outfield.
1. Roarke Morris and Willa Hayes
If these two aren't the scariest villains you've seen on the show, you clearly aren't watching close enough. Part of what's so intense about these two is there's really nothing that can be done to stop them. They have so much money backing them, even the Governor had to get on board...not to mention Willa casually got Beth fired. We know Roarke was behind John's old nemesis nearly killing Teeter and Colby, so is he also behind the gunmen who shot John and Kayce in the last episode? What about the bomb that goes off in Beth's office? It seems like these two have endless resources so we're scared to see what they bring to the table in season 4...
Josh Holloway (Roarke) is best known for starring in Lost as well as the science-fiction drama Colony. Karen Pittman (Willa) has appeared in numerous TV shows as well like The Blacklist, The Americans, The Morning Show, and Evil.
