Miranda Lambert's 'Settling Down' Video Co-Stars Her Husband

Miranda Lambert has a special co-star for her new music video "Settling Down": her husband Brendan McLoughlin. Directed by Trey Fanjoy, the video features the country superstar and her love at their farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee. In the clip, McLoughlin is seen fishing while Lambert writes and drinks red wine. Later on in the video, the lovebirds lounge in a hammock and share a sweet moment in the kitchen as McLoughlin cooks dinner.

Lambert's horse, Gibson, and one of her many rescue dogs, Delta Dawn, both make an appearance in the video.

"The 'Settling Down' video is very personal to me because it was filmed at my farm and my husband got to be in the video with me," Lambert says in a press release. "My mom always called me a wild child and a homing pigeon. I always have an itch to find a new adventure, but I'm also always ready to walk through my front door. I feel like a lot of people feel that way, and 'Settling Down' tells the story of being caught between those two feelings."

In an interview with Radio.com, the country music superstar reflected on the fact that her husband is her very first video love interest.

"I've never had a video in 18 years in the business with a love interest, and so it's kinda funny that my husband's my first one," Lambert said. "It was fun; he did such a great job... and our little dog is in it, and our ponies. It's at my magical-happy place an hour away from Nashville."

"Bluebird" is nominated for Single, Song and Music Video of the Year at the 54th Annual CMA Awards. Lambert is also up for Entertainer, Female Vocalist, Musical Event ("Fooled Around and Fell in Love" with Maren Morris, Elle King, Ashley McBryde, Tenille Townes and Caylee Hammack) and Album of the Year (for Wildcard). Lambert is the most-nominated female artist in CMA history.

Lambert surprised fans when she announced that she was married to McLoughlin in 2019. She was previously married to Blake Shelton from 2011 to 2015.
