Kewpee Hamburgers is a Truly Iconic Burger Chain

Most fast food restaurants are known for things like hamburgers, French fries, milkshakes, etc. We all have our favorite restaurant to stop by when a craving hits-Wendy's, McDonalds, Shake Shackyou name it. We're lucky enough to have so many options!

Well, have you ever stopped by Kewpee Hamburgers? The 2nd oldest burger joint in the United States after White Castle, Kewpee Hamburgers have pretty much stayed the same for decades. And that's why they continue to be so successful.

Founded in 1923 in Flint, Michigan as "Kewpee Hotel Hamburgs," there are currently five Kewpee locations serving the Midwest. You'll find three of those locations in Lima, Ohio as well as one location in Lansing, Michigan and the other in Racine, Wisconsin. Named after the Kewpie doll, Kewpee Hamburgers is known to be one of the first fast food restaurants to start curbside service, which later turned into drive thru service.

The first Kewpee location in downtown Lima, built by a young couple in 1928, still stands today and is known by many as an iconic and historic site. Kewpee Hamburgers are known for their burgers and there's a reason why. Kewpee prides itself on making fresh burgers each morning from locally raised beef, which gives these burgers their distinct, fresh flavor. This has been a tradition from the very beginning and has remained consistent today. That's why people keep going back for Kewpee burgers.

To get an idea of their menu, you'll find classics like hamburgers, cheeseburgers double cheeseburgers, even a fish sandwich. You'll also find favorite sides like French fries, chili and frosted malts. And if you're looking for something sweet, try out a slice of one of their freshly baked pies.

Prices are extremely reasonable but don't worry, that doesn't affect the quality of the food at all. Customers keep coming back for some of the best burgers in Lima, Ohio.

Have you ever had the chance to try out Kewpee Hamburgers? If not, plan a future road trip to one of the Lima locations to see why everyone loves these burgers that have remained the same for decades.
