As the lead character in Paramount Network's Western drama Yellowstone and the frontman of his own country-rock band, it's safe to say Kevin Costner is a fan of Western and country culture. As such, the accomplished actor has curated his own "cowboy music" playlist, and he's sharing it with fans on Spotify. Dubbed "Kevin's Picks," the playlist features songs from country, folk, Americana and other genres. The actor is open to ideas from fans as well, and he asked for suggestions for the playlist on social media.

At first glance at the playlist, which has a run time of more than five hours, fan will notice a mix of songs that all share a common "cowboy" vibe. Mainstream country hitmakers are well-represented with tunes from Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Chris Stapleton, Ashley McBrdye, Whiskey Myers, Eric Church, Miranda Lambert, Jon Pardi, Lainey Wilson and more. The playlist also features up-and-coming acts such as Kylie Frey, Zach Bryan, Ian Munsick and others.
Many alternative, Americana or "indie" artists also fit the bill with the addition of Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson and Jason Isbell, among others. Bluegrass-influenced music is also represented with bands like Watchouse, The Steeldrivers and Billy Strings. Fans will also find one Taylor Swift song ("No Body, No Crime" feat. Haim), and Costner turns back the clock with John Prine and Bonnie Raitt's version of "Angel From Montgomery." He also included his own band, Kevin Coster & Modern West, on the playlist.
Music is an intrinsic part of Yellowstone, and many country artists have had gotten the chance to have their music featured on the show. Lainey Wilson has had multiple songs featured, and her relationship with the show even led to a role on the current season. Other artists that have had their music featured on the drama include Zach Bryan, Shane Smith and Saints, Wade Bowen, Cody Johnson, Ryan Bingham and many more.
