A simple act of kindness from a young boy at a Georgia Chick-fil-A has touched the hearts of thousands.
In a photo shared by the chain's Hiram, Ga. location, a young boy named Frankie is shown shaking hands with a man in an Army hat. As it turns out, the man is Mr. Jim Henry. The Hiram restaurant's post cites Mr. Henry as an accomplished U.S. Army veteran. In his tenure, Mr. Henry had seen deployment to Germany, Korea, Vietnam and Japan.
Frankie has become an internet sensation for the respect he showed Mr. Henry. Chick-fil-A Hiram's post says it best. "We thank you for your service, Mr. Henry," it reads. "Thank you, Frankie, your thoughtfulness goes a long way and has warmed many hearts. You made Chick-fil-A Hiram a little sweeter today."
"Thank you Frankie for showing my father such respect and honor," Henry's daughter Pamela says in a response to the post. "It brought tears to my eyes. Your parents have done a great job raising you. Thank you Hiram Chick-fil-a for posting this."
These days, Chick-fil-A has been in the news for a lot more than just its delicious chicken sandwiches. Restaurants around the U.S. have lately been recipients of kindness. For example, following the devastation wrought by hurricane Irma, an Alabama man paid evacuees' tabs. A Florida location also recently offered free breakfast to hurricane responders.
