Using the butter, grease the inside of your slow cooker. To slow cooker add milk, water, oats, brown sugar, vanilla, pumpkin spice, and salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, on high about 3 hours. Stir in pumpkin and cook for 1 hour more.
Dish into bowls and top with walnuts.
Notes
If you do not have pumpkin spice, add 1 tsp. cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg,1/4 tsp cloves and 1/4 tsp ginger.
Serve with extra brown sugar if needed.
