In a medium bowl mix together the rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly. This is easiest with your hands.
In a separate bowl mix together the pears, brown sugar, cinnamon, and ground ginger. Spread into 6 individual ramekins and top with the crumble mixture.
Bake until the top is golden brown, about 25 minutes. Serve warm.
Notes
Make a large crumble by putting the mixture in a 9-inch square pan and bake 40 minutes.
Top with a heaping scoop of vanilla ice cream.
