Jason Kelce Explains Original 'People's' Sexiest Man Alive Plans For His Brother, Travis

Jason Kelce's Sexiest Man Alive entry could've turned out differently.

Jason Kelce, the starting center of the Philadelphia Eagles, revealed on his podcast with his brother Travis, New Heights, that originally, both were considered for People's Sexiest Man Alive list. Jason was an unlikely finalist in 2023, putting him in the same conversation as Pedro Pascal, Usher, Jamie Foxx, Lenny Kravitz, Timothee Chalamet and others more likely to make a list of celebrity heartthrobs. This year's winner was actor Patrick Dempsey.

"Initially, you were supposed to be up there with me, but you declined it," Jason explained to Travis, a tight end for the world champion Kansas City Chiefs.

"There's no way," Travis responded. "How do you decline it?"

"I don't know, but apparently you guys found a way to decline it," Jason said in an apparent reference to Travis' publicity reps or management.

"I didn't get a call," Travis added.

Jason insisted that a "sexiest brothers alive" spread was the original plan.

Never one to take himself seriously, Jason cracked a few jokes about how he stacked up against fellow honorees. Jason figures he's "way sexier" than Pascal but concedes that Foxx and Kravitz are "pretty sexy" men.

Most of his playful ire was pointed at Chalamet.

"Timothee's not my style," Jason explained. "I mean, I guess if you're into skinny white guys. I mean, whatever."

As for his spot on the list, Jason joked that he brings "body diversity" to the conversation.

"We've got ripped, chiseled or skinny, slender model-looking men," he said. "Who can we find to get some plus-sized diversity?"

Though Travis joked that People must've written down Jason's name by accident, he said he's "proud" of his brother.

The Kelce brothers —now a hit-making Christmas song duo— face off this coming week (Nov. 20) on Monday Night Football. The Eagles-Chiefs game is a rematch of the most recent Super Bowl. Their parents, Ed and Donna Kelce, are rumored to be meeting Taylor Swift's parents on game day.
