Games that pit the Philadelphia Eagles against the Kansas City Chiefs are major events for Donna and Ed Kelce. After all, they have a son apiece on each team, with oldest son Jason playing center for the Eagles and his younger brother Travis suiting up as a tight end for the world champion Chiefs.
The Kelce parents' split allegiance would've been a major focus ahead of Monday night's (Nov. 20) game anyway, as it was when the teams faced each other back in February in the Super Bowl. Jason in particular grabs headlines with his over-the-top personality, and the siblings' most recent matchup made history, marking the first time that brothers played on opposing teams in the Super Bowl.
Interest in the Kelce family went through the roof in September when Jason became romantically linked to Taylor Swift. Travis and Swift have met each other's parents, with Swift's bond with Donna being among the sweetest developments of the couple's high-profile romance.
Now rumors suggest that Donna and Ed's game day plans include meeting Swift's parents, Scott and Andrea Swift, for the first time.
"Taylor and Travis have met each other's parents so it only makes sense that they'd want their parents to meet each other as things between them are getting really serious," a source told Us Weekly. "Taylor and Travis both have a very close bond with their parents and it's really important that their families blend seamlessly, as well."
Swift will perform in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday and Sunday. In football terms, her attendance may be a game time decision.
"Although Taylor will performing the night before in Brazil, she's trying to manage going to the game," a source told US Weekly. "It's really important to her to be there when their parents meet."
