Sometimes you keep traditions as they are. You don't change the origins or performance of said traditions. Why? Because they're traditions. However, when it comes to an age-old classic game, like spin the bottle, traditions can go right out the window. That's right, everything you know about the classic party game spin the bottle is getting flipped on its head and out the other end—literally.
Instead of participating in the classic and sacred tradition amongst the teenage crowd, spin the bottle has gotten a makeover for those of us who are a little bit too old and too tied down (in a good way!) to participate in such activities. How can one makeover spin the bottle in a decently respectable way?
Well, you replace the word kiss with the word poop, and exchange a bottle for a potato. In other words, you play poop the potato. Interested in how to play, or curious about what that even means?
You never know, this could be the new tradition in your life. Nothing brings people together like toilet humor.

When it comes to fun games to play during your holiday season game night (or birthday party), this poop the potato game takes the cake. All you need to put together this DIY party game is some potatoes, two buckets or trash cans, and a sense of humor.
First, split your players into two teams. A team member from both teams start on the same side and place a potato between their legs and waddle to the "porcelain throne" where they have to drop the potato. The term member runs back and the next player on the team puts a spud between their legs and repeats the process. The first team to get all their potatoes in the bucket wins!
A favorite at holiday parties (perhaps virtually this year due to Covid-19), this new party game beats a sit-down card game or board game.
