A well-publicized legal dispute over the estate of Lisa Marie Presley concluded with a Los Angeles Superior Court judge naming Riley Keough, daughter of Lisa Marie and granddaughter of Elvis Presley, as the sole trustee.
Per Deadline, Judge Lynn Healey Scaduto handed down the ruling on Friday (Aug. 4). It allows Keough to preside over the sub-trusts of her 14-year-old twin siblings, Harper and Finley. In addition, Keough maintains sole ownership of famed family property Graceland.
Keough's grandmother, Priscilla Presley, legally contested the validity of a 2016 amendment to Lisa Marie's will that replaced Priscilla and Lisa Marie's longtime manager, Barry Siegel, as trustee with Keough and Priscilla's son, the late Benjamin Keough. Priscilla's legal team contended that she did not learn of the amendment until after her daughter's death.
Keough and her grandmother settled in May, with Priscilla getting a $1 million lump sum payment from the trust. Deadline adds that Priscilla will now be allowed to be buried at Graceland's family plot.
"Riley and Priscilla are at peace in their relationship after the very stressful ordeal over Lisa Marie's trust and estate," a source told Us in May."There was a lot of back and forth, but they reached a middle ground that makes them both happy."
Priscilla has shot down reports that frame the legal action as a sign of in-fighting.
"My family has resolved all confusion as it relates to our plea to the court and request for document interpretation after my daughter Lisa Marie's untimely passing," Priscilla told Entertainment Tonight. "Although some media identified such a plea as a lawsuit, I want to make clear that there was never any lawsuit filed against my beloved granddaughter. As a family, we are pleased that we resolved this together."
The lone child of Elvis, Lisa Marie died on Jan. 12 at age 54.
