Daisy Jones & The Six received a whopping nine Emmy nominations this year. And with that milestone, congratulations were in order, particularly from star Riley Keough, or as you may know her, Elvis Presley's granddaughter.
According to Deadline, Keogh's first-time Emmy nomination took her by surprise. She said she actually had her phone on Do Not Disturb at the time nominations were being announced, but received so many phone calls that the feature was overridden. At that point, she told Deadline she "had a feeling" something had happened.
Not only was Keogh excited to learn of her accomplishment, but she was over the moon for co-star Camila Morrone's nomination for Best Supporting Actress as well.
"She's such a wonderful, wonderful person, and I'm so happy for her and she really deserves it," she said of Morrone.
The actress is "forever grateful" for the chance to appear in the adaptation of the book of the same name by Taylor Jenkins Reid. And if there were a chance to take on the role again, she'd certainly be open to it.
"It was such a wonderful experience," she continued. "I think all of us would love to work together in any capacity again. I don't know how much room they left for that, but I definitely would work with everyone on the show again."
Reese Witherspoon of the Hello Sunshine banner, which the show released under, was also thrilled to hear of the nominations.
"She was so thrilled for everybody," Neustadter told Deadline. "She's been such a part of all of this and blazes the trail that makes all of this possible. We're very grateful for her."
Keogh and crew were seriously pleased to be surprised with their nominations. If there's to be more Daisy Jones & The Six in the future, these Emmy nods will likely be the catalyst for it.
