Hear Randy Travis' Newly Released Classic Country Heartbreaker 'One in a Row'

A song country legend Randy Travis recorded before his stroke in 2013 is now available for download. "One in a Row" is the classic country perfection Travis is known for. The song, written by Buddy Jewell and Thom McHugh, centers on a man struggling to get over an old flame.

"This is only the beginning/ I've got a lot of time to go," Travis sings. "But I made it through the night/ And that's one in a row."

"One in a Row" is the first new song released by Travis since 2013.

Travis released his memoir Forever and Ever, Amen: A Memoir of Music, Faith, and Braving the Storms of Life on May 14.

"My songs were the stories of my life and I learned from those who listened, they were theirs too — my fans inspired me and continue to do so," Travis said in a statement.

Travis rose to fame in the '80s with number one hits such as "On the Other Hand," "Forever and Ever, Amen," "Deeper Than the Holler," "Too Gone Too Long" and "I Told You So." The singer helped bring traditional country music back to the charts. Travis was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2016.
