Watch Randy Travis Surprise Crowd With Appearance at Cody Jinks Show

Randy Travis surprised the crowd at a Cody Jinks show in Ardmore, Okla on Friday (Jan. 25). The country legend walked on stage after Jinks covered Travis' 1986 hit "Diggin' Up Bones."

When it came to showing appreciation for the icon, the crowd didn't hold back, chanting "Randy" until Travis' wife, Mary Davis, stepped up to the microphone to make an announcement.

Davis referenced George Jones' song "Who's Gonna Fill Their Shoes" to give a nod to Jinks, a country traditionalist who frequently shows reverence to those who came before him.

"When George Jones said 'Who's gonna fill their shoes,' he said Randy Travis," Davis said. "And I just wanna tell you tonight, when people ask us who's gonna fill Randy Travis' shoes, [it's] Cody Jinks."

Jinks was noticeably moved by the gesture and Travis' appearance at the show.

"I'm just glad I didn't screw the song up with him sitting right there," Jinks told the crowd.
