These Matthew McConaughey Impressions by Celebrities Are 'Alright, Alright, Alright'

Matthew McConaughey is one of the most famous and beloved actors in the United States. He has starred in over 60 movies and continues to be a staple in Texas pop-culture. From his Oscar-winning roles to those infamous Lincoln commercials, McConaughey has some of the most quotable lines of all time, which is why everyone, from his co-stars to his biggest fans, loves to try their hand at imitating the movie star's famous Lone Star State drawl.

The fact that McConaughey has had such a successful career has made him a great gag on shows throughout the years, such as SNL, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Late Show With David Letterman, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and many other late night talk shows.

Matthew David McConaughey was born on November 4, 1969, in Uvalde, Texas. He attended Longview High School where he was voted 'most handsome.'

The True Detective star graduated from The University of Texas and had plans of studying pre-law to become a criminal lawyer. Instead, he got his first break as the character David Wooderson in the movie Dazed and Confused. This movie also features McConaughey's most quoted line of all time, "alright, alright, alright."

McConaughey's dramatic turn in A Time To Kill proved that he was a superstar with staying power. (His role in the film even put him in consideration for the role of Jack Dawson in the movie Titanic.)

Over the years, McConaughy has continued to delight audiences in films such as Magic Mike, Fool's Gold, Interstellar, The Wedding Planner, How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days and Dallas Buyers Club. He has 86 nominations and 37 wins in film and television awards.

In 2015, McConaughey started visiting UT as a film instructor. In 2019, he was brought on as a full-time faculty member.

He is married to Camila Aves and the two have three children together.

In April 2014, Time Magazine included him in the list of 100 most influential people in the world.

During a recent appearance on the Balancd Voice podcast McConaughey hinted that he might be considering a run for Texas governor.
