In a live performance recorded at a YouTube studio in Tokyo, Japan, Kacey Musgraves delivered a captivating acoustic rendition of "Slow Burn," one of many standout tracks from her 2018 country album Golden Hour. Performing solo and surrounded by cherry blossoms, Musgraves' delicate performance placed the focus on her crystal clear voice and gripping lyrics.
Written by Musgraves, Ian Fitchuk and Daniel Tashian, "Slow Burn," which Rolling Stone named a song of the summer, is one of several autobiographical songs from Musgraves' critically acclaimed Golden Hour. Teeming with snapshots of Musgraves' own life and soothing non sequiturs like "In Tennessee the sun's goin' down but in Beijing they're headed out to work," the song showcases the talent that made Musgraves a star of Music City and beyond.
Earlier this year, the Texas-born singer released a performance of "Love is a Wild Thing" live from Japan.

Golden Hour, a dazzling mix of cosmic country music, folk and adult contemporary, includes fan favorite tracks "Space Cowboy,""Butterflies" and "High Horse." The record has made Musgraves a crossover success and garnered the singer a coveted appearance as a musical guest on SNL. Over the summer, she toured with pop superstar Harry Styles.
In October, Musgraves will kick off her Oh, What a World Tour in Norway. She'll bring the tour stateside in January, with Natalie Prass, Soccer Mommy, Liza Anne and Sinclair opening on select dates.
Most recently, Musgraves covered Roger Miller's "Kansas City Star" for the upcoming Miller tribute album, King of the Road: A Tribute to Roger Miller.
