Since the early days of his career, Blake Shelton has transformed from an unassuming country crooner to one of the most charismatic and versatile performers in modern country today.

He made a solid start with the dramatic 2001 track "Austin", after years of working as a songwriter in Nashville. Thanks to his follow-up singles "All Over Me" and "Ol' Red", Shelton's self-titled debut became his first platinum record. He earned another hit with "The Baby" from his sophomore album The Dreamer. After a couple of unsuccessful singles, Shelton regrouped and came back with 2004's Blake Shelton's Barn & Grill. The single "Some Beach" put him back on the charts, and spurred a chain of hit releases that has placed him at superstar status.

His 2013 album, Based on a True Story is his biggest-selling release to date, with over 1.4 million copies sold. The album generated six successful singles, including "Sure Be Cool If You Did" and "Doin' What She Likes." 2014's "Bringing Back the Sunshine" debuted at number one, and featured the chart-topping hits "Neon Light" and "Sangria."

In recent years, Shelton has also earned headlines for his former marriage to fellow country star Miranda Lambert, and his side job as an energetic guest judge for NBC's The Voice.
