Watch Chris Stapleton's Rollicking Cover of Waylon Jennings' 'Ain't Living Long Like This'

Just three years ago, Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane regularly sang classic country covers in small bars across the south. The country superstar was recently chosen to honor the late great Waylon Jennings by putting his own spin on a classic track.

"Ain't Living Long Like This" was penned by Rodney Crowell and released by Jennings back in 1979. It became a No. 1 hit for the country outlaw and is now one of his trademark tracks. Certainly no one can ever fully fill Waylon's shoes. But Stapleton used his instantly recognizable voice to bring the house down with his rendition.

Watch the full performance below.

The performance was a part of Outlaw: Celebrating the Music of Waylon Jennings, filmed at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas in 2015. Other artists who graced the stage included Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Kacey Musgraves, Alison Krauss and Sturgill Simpson.
