Hear Brandy Clark's Witty New Song 'You're Drunk'

Brandy Clark has never been afraid to tell it like it is, and her newest single is no different.

In "You're Drunk," Clark sings about an exhausting relationship that needs to come to an end. But, thanks to the power of alcohol, it always seems to come back around again.

The lyrics are a clever response from a female's point of view and will make you cringe for the guy who shows up at her door. Clark's co-writers on this song include Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne. The upbeat tone makes you want to snap your fingers throughout. The distinct and infectious rhythm is far from anything currently on radio - and that's a good thing.

"You're Drunk" unapologetically stands up for every girl on the other side of that door at two in the morning. Combinations of ingenious hyperboles churn from beginning to end.

"You only seem to want me when you're drunk, as skunk," Clark sings. "And looking for a get you over that heartbreak hump-ty hump."

The track is guaranteed to bring a smile faces of any female whose ever had the upper hand. Clark's voice is dynamic yet sarcastic, sticking to the symbolic tones you've heard from her before.

Fans will most likely hear "You're Drunk" on the road this summer. The Grammy nominated singer has a full schedule that includes opening dates on the Soul2Soul World Tour as well as a few stops with Miranda Lambert. You can find her full list of tour dates here.

Brandy Clark's "You're Drunk" Lyrics

Knock knock who's there

At two in the morning

While I guess that you got dumped

Cuz you're here

Standing in the driveway

Thinking I'm a rebound

You know this thing we got's become so damn

Dysfunc-tional

You only seem to want me when you're drunk, as skunk

And looking for a get you over that heartbreak hump-ty hump

This time know that dog won't hunt

Cuz everytime you wind up all alone

It's on

You're showing up and blowing up my phone

Go home

You're drunk

It's late and I'm tired

So many there's a cab or pill you could take

Cuz you're wired

And you're stumbing and slurring and saying that I'm no fun

So done

And no I really don't care if you're hung-over tomorrow

Oh cuz right now you're just drunk, as skunk

And looking for a get you over that heartbreak hump-ty hump

This time know that dog wont hunt

Cuz every time you wind up all alone

It's on

You're showing up and blowing up my phone

Go home

You're drunk

This time we're done

Cuz I'm bored

Of you going on about how I'm the one

Funny how it only happens when you're drunk, as skunk

And looking for a get you over that heartbreak hump-ty hump

This time know that dog wont hunt

Cuz every time you wind up all alone

It's on

You're showing up and blowing up my phone

Go home

You're drunk

Knock knock, guess who?
