Slow-Cooker French Dip Sandwiches
These French Dip Sandwiches are made in the slow cooker to produce tender and juicy roast beef with a flavorful au jus to dip in.

Ingredients

rump roast

cups
beef broth
1
onion, sliced
1
cup
lager beer
6
french rolls
1
tsp
freshly grated nutmeg
Instructions
Trim excess fat from rump roast if needed and place into slow cooker. Add the beef broth, onion, and lager. Cook on low until tender, about 7 hours.
Remove beef from slow cooker and slice thinly on the diagonal. Place on rolls. Add nutmeg to au jus and stir. Serve sandwiches with a cup of au jus.
Notes
The beef can also be cooked on high for 3-4 hours.
If you want to add a kick to your sandwiches, serve some horseradish on the side.
