Apple Butter

This apple butter is easy to make and will make your whole house smell amazing.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 pounds apples
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tablespoon ground spices cloves, allspice, nutmeg, ginger or your favorite blend

Instructions
 

  • Peel, core and chop the apples.
  • Place the apples in a slow cooker. Add the sugar, lemon juice and spices, then mix well.
  • Cook for 10 hours, stirring a couple of times an hour. Watch closely toward the end of the cooking time, stirring more often if necessary.
  • Use an immersion blender for a smoother texture if desired. Spoon into jars or freezer safe containers. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freezer for up to a year.
