Prepare a 9x13 baking pan by greasing it, then set aside.
Pour Rice Krispies or other rice cereal into a large bowl, then set aside.
Using a medium pot, bring peanut butter, sugar and corn syrup to a boil, stirring continuously. Take off heat and pour peanut butter mixture over Rice Krispies, mixing until fully combined.
Pour mixture into prepared pan and press down evenly with a spatula.
Melt chocolate chips and butterscotch chips together in a small pot on medium-low heat, stirring continuously to avoid burning. Alternatively, you can melt them in the microwave using a microwave-safe bowl and heating in 30-second intervals.
Pour over Rice Krispies and allow them to set in the baking dish before cutting and serving.
