Top All Your Coffees with Chocolate Whipped Cream

Chocolate whipped cream is a great choice of topping for your coffee, but it can also be put on cakes and other treats.

Ingredients
  

  • 3 ounces bittersweet or semisweet baking chocolate chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar)

Instructions
 

  • Put the chopped chocolate in a bowl. In a heavy saucepan, add your heavy cream before adding the powdered sugar. Heat on medium heat until boiling. When hot, pour the cream over the chocolate until melted.
  • Cover and chill for several hours.
  • Beat the whipped cream by hand or with an electric mixer/hand mixer after chilling.
  • Refrigerate for another hour or so before using/serving.
