Mince the garlic if it's not pre-minced. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add almonds and saute for 3 to 4 minutes or until you have golden brown toasted almonds, stirring periodically. Take the almonds out of the pan and wipe it clean, preferably with a paper towel.
Add green beans and water to the pan and cook, stirring occasionally. Cook until the beans are crisp-tender and you have bright green beans. (About five minutes).
Add in the lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper, then sprinkle the almonds over the mix. Toss and serve.
