Ingredients

  • 8 cups Cheddar Bay Biscuits
  • 6 cups bread (cut into small cubes)
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups yellow onion, diced
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 1/2 cup carrot, diced
  • 1 tsp dry sage
  • 1/2 tsp dry thyme
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 3 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • To make Cheddar Bay Biscuit Stuffing, first preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
  • Spread Cheddar Bay Biscuit pieces and your cubes of bread onto a large baking sheet and cook for 20 to 30 minutes, moving around occasionally, until dry.
  • Transfer to a medium bowl and allow them to cool to room temperature. Change the oven temperature to 350 degrees F.
  • In a medium sauté pan, heat butter over medium heat until melted. Once melted, add in the diced onion, celery and carrots, and sauté until slightly softened.
  • Stir in the herbs, salt and pepper and remove from heat. Add into the bowl containing the Cheddar Bay Biscuit pieces and bread.
  • Gently fold mixture, combining the veggies, herbs and bread. As you do so, slowly pour in the chicken broth. When combined, taste the mixture and adjust the seasonings as you like.
  • Layer mixture into a pre-greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, until golden brown on top.
