Orrico's husband, Ryan, passed away 10 years ago due to a brain tumor. But back in 2007, he froze some of his sperm. Orrico decided to use it to try to have a baby. And she was successful, welcoming daughter Aviana Rose on February 5.

"It's surreal and so exciting. After struggles back and forth about doing this alone, yet hopeful about finding a partner and a long history of five miscarriages many years ago — I finally have my beautiful baby," Orrico told People. "Also, a part of my late husband's legacy (he passed 10.5 years ago), as I used his frozen sperm, is such a beautiful blessing."

"Every single one of my friends and family and his family are all elated," she also added.

Orrico has had a bit of an up-and-down pregnancy. Ultimately, she needed a C-section to deliver. But everything ended up going well.

"I'm being well taken care of! I was a bit scared of the surgery but blessed with my amazing support person, Dave, who has not left my side, and my terrific team of doctors and nurses. Truly, the whole experience has been smooth and I've been well taken care of, including visits from our nearest and dearest family and friends," says Orrico.

So far, the TV actor has enjoyed being a mother and caregiver. Previously, she helped take care of ailing mother. So she finds the experience to be similar in that respect.

"Adjusting really well. With a background of being a caregiver for many chronically ill family members, this has been a beautiful experience," says Orrico. "She's a sweet little angel, and I'm already learning her adorable little cues, like what she needs when. She cries, coos, shakes her arms, and [I even understand] a few of her cute facial expressions."

The TV star never gave up on her dream of being a mom.

"Never give up on your dreams," she says. "Life is short and you have to live it to the fullest. Surround yourself with a good support system and move forward with your goals, as only you can control your future."
