Nashville-area destination Turner's Grain Silo is one of two grain silos in Tennessee that's been converted to a tiny house and listed on Airbnb.
Photos show a 400 sq. ft. circular living space that's as gorgeously decorated as just about any bed-and-breakfast. This unique home's got every modern convenience you'll need for a brief stay, from central heating and air conditioning to a colorful kitchenette and a lovely porch. Do note that this vacation rental does not include WiFi or a television.
Aside from being among the handful of grain silo homes in the United States, Turner's Grain Silo is both secluded in rural Mt. Juliet, Tenn. and conveniently located just 25 minutes from the hustle and bustle of downtown Nashville.
Per the site's Airbnb page, only two silo house guests are allowed at a time, and no children under age 13 are allowed.
In a May 2020 story by local newspaper The Wilson Post, co-owner Jim Bradford describes moving an old grain silo from his dad Turner Bradford's property "down the holler and through the woods" to the tiny home's current site.
The real DIY challenge for Jim, a cabinet maker and wood worker, came because of the old structure's circular shape.
"Building round is very difficult," he told The Wilson Post. "It's a lot of figuring stuff out prior to doing it. It took me and my brother-in-law four hours to put up three boards. Once we figured it out, we got the rest of it done in like 12 hours. Building round, it's hard."

Co-owner Dawn Bradford views the small house as a getaway for travelers that's way more special than your average hotel chain.
"It is allowing people to come somewhere that's personal," she told The Wilson Post. "It's not just a hotel or motel. That was my main thing — to give rest to the weary traveler — and we've done that on several occasions (with the couple's other Airbnb property, a cedar twig cabin)."
The Bradford family follows Airbnb's 5-step enhanced cleaning process, which considers COVID-19 (coronavirus) social distancing norms.
