Tootsie Roll Ingredients

You'll need: chopped unsweetened chocolate, vanilla extract, light corn syrup, softened butter, powdered milk, and powdered sugar. Real tootsie rolls have a hint of orange flavoring, so you can feel free to add or omit that.
You start by melting the chocolate, then add corn syrup and butter, and mix until smooth. Next, stir in the powdered milk and vanilla. Once this is combined, you can start adding in your powdered sugar. As you add sugar, the mix will transform into a dough. Keep kneading the dough until it is very soft and smooth.

Once you've reached the desired texture, you can break off pieces and start rolling them into ropes. The fun part is deciding how long or short you want these to be. If you make them midgee size, you'll have between 80-100 pieces. Once they are rolled out, refrigerate for one hour to let them firm up.
