While Season 24 of "The Voice" is still well underway, new details have emerged about Season 25 of the NBC singing competition show. Here's everything to know about the 25th season of "The Voice," including the premiere date, coaches and more.
When Does 'The Voice' Season 25 Premiere?
NBC revealed on Nov. 20 that Season 25 will kick off with a two-night premiere in February. Part 1 will take place Monday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m. ET; Part 2 will air Tuesday, Feb. 27, in the same time slot. Seasons usually run for just shy of three months, so the Season 25 finale will likely air in early May.
What is the Format of 'The Voice' Season 25?
The official schedule for "The Voice" Season 25 has not been announced, but the show usually follows the same basic format with a few variations. For about the first four weeks, the coaches assemble their teams by choosing artists during the blind auditions. They then move into the battle round, during which the artists sing against one another and the coaches make their first eliminations. Then they head to the knockouts, followed by the playoffs. After this, the show moves into live shows, and the audience gets the chance to vote for their favorite artists to advance. More eliminations are made until the show reaches the finale and the winner of "The Voice" is crowned.

As always, Season 25 of "The Voice" will air on NBC on Monday and Tuesday nights throughout spring 2024. However, those who miss the live broadcast of the show can stream it starting the next morning on Peacock.
Who Are the Coaches on 'The Voice' Season 25?
"The Voice" isn't afraid to change up its coaching staff, and a new variation — with one brand new coaching team — is coming in Season 25. First, "The Voice" stage will see more coaches than ever before, as Dan + Shay joins as the show's first-ever coaching duo. The two will work together to coach one team from the brand new "double chair." Returning coaches Reba McEntire, Chance the Rapper and John Legend will round out the coaching staff.
Season 25 sees the departure of Gwen Stefani, although it's not clear if she's open to coaching on future seasons. Coach Niall Horan is also bowing out for Season 25 after two entertaining seasons with the show. It is confirmed that former coaches Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson made their permanent departures after Season 23.
Reba McEntire

On May 15, McEntire's team confirmed that the pop culture icon would become a first-time coach for Season 24. The brief press release added that McEntire would "draw from her iconic career as she shares her expertise with hopeful up-and-comers."
McEntire replacing Shelton fulfills one of the singing competition show's original plans for its 2011 debut. During a 2020 appearance on Bravo's "Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen," she confirmed the rumor that NBC's "The Voice" could've had Team Reba in Season 1 instead of Team Blake.
"It is very true," McEntire confirmed, as quoted by ET Canada. "It was a very popular show in Holland, I'm pretty sure, and I watched the tape, and I said, 'No, I'm going to pass on that,' because I don't think I could ever be able to tell somebody that they're terrible or go find another job or hope you like your nighttime job. I couldn't do that day in and day out. I just couldn't do it. So I did pass on it."
Dan + Shay

Dan + Shay will make history on "The Voice" in Season 25 as the first "double chair," or the first duo to serve as a coaching team. Artists who join Dan + Shay's team will have double the professional advice coming their way from the Grammy- and multiple ACM- and CMA-winning duo. NBC announced their involvement in the show in June, and they earned some practice during Season 24 when they stepped in to coach members of Team Niall prior to the knockout round in Horan's absence.
Chance the Rapper

Chance the Rapper made his coaching debut on "The Voice" alongside fellow newbie Horan during Season 23 in spring 2023. The coach only stayed on for one season, but he managed to coach a talented team, and vocal group Sorelle represented him in the season finale. Chance told NBC he took the "Voice" coaching gig to give a voice to emerging artists.
"I wanted to be a Coach on 'The Voice' because I like giving platforms to young artists — especially people who are already seasoned in their trade and know what they're doing but just need the right spotlight," he said. "I wanted to be a part of the process."
John Legend

Legend's debut as a coach occurred all the way back in Season 16. Like Horan, he won in his first try, guiding Maelyn Jarmon to the top. Legend stuck around until Season 22, and fans are undoubtedly excited to see him join McEntire, Chance the Rapper and Dan + Shay on Season 25.
