'The Voice': 'Intimidated' Niall Horan Hides Under His Chair as He Battles Reba for Steal

Things are getting interesting on "The Voice."

John Legend's team on The Voice features so many talented artists that the other coaches often end up in battles of their own when attempting to steal those artists. That situation happened on Monday night's (Oct. 30) episode of The Voice when Niall Horan and Reba McEntire went head-to-head to recruit a singer from Team Legend.

The artists whose performance precipitated such a moment were Azán and Taylor Deneen, who performed a dynamic rendition of "Do It" by Chloe x Halle. Both singers showed their individual strengths throughout the performance: Azán with her clear-cut voice and stage presence and Deneen with her soft soulfulness. The two also collaborated on some impressive choreography, which made for an all around entertaining performance.

The coaches heavily enjoyed the rendition by the women, with McEntire saying they look ready to go on tour together. Niall Horan said he didn't hear one wrong note the entire performance, and he leaned more towards Azán overall. Gwen Stefani also complimented both women, saying that Azán possibly has a bit more experience onstage than Deneen.

The battle was equally matched, but in the end, Legend chose to keep Deneen in the competition.

The other coaches weren't about to let a talent like Azán walk away easily, though. After she was eliminated, Horan pressed his button to steal her, and he was immediately followed by McEntire. Host Carson Daly and Azán only saw Horan's steal, however, and the singer went running towards him. Daly then had to call the singer back to the stage, and Horan slinked down below his chair once he found out he had to go against the Queen of Country.

"Niall's a little intimidated," Legend commented.

He then stood up, pulled up his "big boy pants" and gave his best pitch to the singer. He shot a playful glare McEntire's way as she began to speak.

"You've got the total package to be a superstar," McEntire told Azán.

After a tough deliberation, Azán chose to join Horan's team, while offering apologies to McEntire.
