'The Masked Singer' Season 10: Everything to Know

There are some changes in store for 'The Masked Singer.'

The Masked Singer is beginning its 10th season this fall, and its shaping up to be an exciting year for the longtime singing competition show. Viewers will see some familiar faces this year — with Nick Cannon staying in his position as host  — but there are some changes coming to the show as well. Here's everything fans need to know about the upcoming season of The Masked Singer. 

When Will 'The Masked Singer' Premiere?

Season 10 of The Masked Singer is set to premiere on FOX on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at 8PM ET. The show will be available to stream after it airs on Hulu, Fox.com, Tubi and On Demand. However, fans can enjoy a special 10-year anniversary episode on Sunday, Sept. 10. The episode will features celebrity duets from past contestants on the show, including Michelle Williams (Butterfly in season 2), Rumer Willis (Lion in season 1), Joey Fatone (Rabbit in season 1), Bow Wow (Frog in season 3), Victor Oladipo (Thingamajig in season 2), and Dustin Zito (Rhino in season 3).

 

Who Will Be Performing on Season 10 of 'The Masked Singer?'

While the real-life identities of the contestants on The Masked Singer are hidden, we do know some of the characters and masks that will take the stage on Season 10 of the show. The season will feature 16 new costumes, some which are animals, plants and even food items. Some of the competitors include Anonymouse, Anteater, Donut, Hawk, Hibiscus and S'More.

 

What is the Format for Season 10 of 'The Masked Singer?'

While Season 10 will feel mostly the same the viewers, there are a few changes coming. According to Entertainment Tonight, contestants will be split up into three groups, and the groups will compete against one another during the Battle Royale semi-final episodes. The season will also see the return of Wild Card contestants, and there will be one Wild Card per group. The "Ding Dong Keep It On Bell" will also return during he Battle Royale rounds. This bell causes judges to save a contestant from elimination and advance them to the finale. The bell can be used only once.

Who Will Be on the Judges Panel for Season 10 of 'The Masked Singer?'

As noted above, Nick Cannon will step back into his regular hosting gig for Season 10 of the show. The judges panel is remaining the same as well, with actor Ken Jeong, actress and TV personality Jenny McCarthy, actress and singer Nicole Scherzinger and singer Robin Thicke returning.
