Texans player, NFL player Kris Boyd, was caught shoving his coach, special teams coordinator Frank Ross, while he appeared to get yelled at. However, Boyd himself defends himself, saying he was excited.
Texans Player Shoves Coach In Heated Exchange
People took to the comments of the video to shun the player. People called for him to be fired or punished in some way.
"He needs to fired just like any other employee in America would," one wrote, deeming his push as an aggressive act that can't be ignored.
However, Boyd defends his actions, and paints a different picture of events.
Kris Boyd Pushed Coach Frank Ross In Excitement
Kris Boyd, in another video, solemnly explained his actions and the push. The story now goes a little something like this:
Yesterday the Kansas City Chiefs played off against the Houston Texans, where cornerback Boyd was off to a brilliant start.
Chiefs' Nikko Remigio had managed to kick the ball to the Houston 32-yard line, but Boyd quickly responded. He forced a fumble, negating the Chiefs' big play. He looked up to the "big screen" and thought his tackle also scored a turnover.
In his excitement, he threw his helmet to the ground and ran over to Frank Ross, pushing him due to his energy. "I was turnt," he said in the video.
Unfortunately, he was wrong in thinking there was a turnover. Instead, the ball was still with the Chiefs and Boyd got a flag.
That's why Ross looked so frustrated in the video, he was trying to tell the over-excited player to simmer down and keep focused.
"I love everybody here, I love my coaches, I would never disrespect nobody. I love Frank. I'm a God-fearing man. I respect everybody in that building," he said.
"I was lit, I was turnt, I thought we had a good play, and I apologize to everybody, I apologized to Frank, and I did again," he continued. Apparently, Boyd and Ross are cool, with the coach thinking nothing of the push.
