A troublesome year for amusement parks continues.

So far this year, a man broke both of his legs after being hurled from the Batman ride in Spain, park visitors have been suspended 260 feet in the air, and an educator recently died at Six Flags Over Georgia after falling out of a roller coaster.

Tragically, yet another life was lost at an amusement park on Tuesday night after a teenager was ejected from a high-speed ride.

Gabriela Rodriguez Tezoco, 18, was flung out of her seat while on an attraction at a festival in Los Cabos, Baja California Sur, local outlet Expreso reported.

The outlet reported that she fell from "The Pendulum," a spinning ride at the Cabo San Lucas Traditional Festivals, and that her fatal fall was captured on video.

Tezoco was transported to a nearby hospital. She later succumbed to her injuries.

"It is with deep sorrow that we report that the young woman who was injured in the incident that occurred in the amusement park area of ??the Cabo San Lucas Traditional Festivals, and who was immediately transferred to receive medical attention, lost her life despite the efforts of the health personnel," the Los Cabos City Council wrote on social media.

Los Cabos Mayor Speaks on Carnival Tragedy

Los Cabos mayor Christian Agundez spoke about the teen's tragic death during an appearance at the festival.

"Today, with the same spirit with which we come together to celebrate, we must come together to support Gabriela's family. It could have been any one of us. You are not alone," Agundez said.

Agundez confirmed that "The Pendelum" is currently closed. He added that safety inspections are being done on all of the festival's rides.

The Baja California Sur State Attorney General's Office reported on Wednesday that an investigation is underway to determine potential liability.

No arrests have been made at this time. The manufacturer of the ride has not been publicly disclosed.

Tezoco graduated from Baja California Sur College of Baccalaureate Studies. Her alma mater wrote a statement in the wake of her death.

"May your smile remain alive in our memory. May your memory always be a light that guides us," the school said in a tribute.
