The cause of a crash that saw an SUV plunge into a backyard swimming pool on Long Island has been revealed.

Allison Rahmani, 40, died on Friday after losing control of her vehicle and crashing into the pool at her family's home in Hewlett.
The New York Post has since reported that Rahmani suffered a medical episode shortly before the fatal crash.
Rahmani was a local teacher and a mother of four.
Medical Episode Blamed for Fatal SUV Crash
Police say Rahmani called 911 from inside the vehicle around the time of the crash.
Emergency responders rushed her to the hospital, but she sadly died on the way.
Authorities have released few details about the nature of the medical emergency. Police do not suspect foul play in Rahmani's death.
Investigators continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash, with further details potentially emerging as the investigation progresses.
Authorities believe Rahmani lost control of the SUV before "striking a tree, a parked and unoccupied 2006 Honda and subsequently becoming immersed in an inground pool."
Family and friends gathered on Sunday for Rahmani's funeral service at Boulevard-Riverside Chapels in Hewlett.
In a heartbreaking coincidence, Rahmani and her husband, Matthew Rahmani, planned to leave for a vacation to Paris, France, that same day.

Matthew serves as president of the Irving Place Minyan Orthodox Synagogue in Woodmere.
Allison worked as a math coordinator at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway, where she dedicated herself to helping young people.
Rahmani's mother, Rachelle Rohde, spoke during the emotional funeral service.
"We are broken, we will never be the same," she said.
Rahmani's sister also paid tribute, remembering Allison as "the life of the party". As well as a dedicated educator who always looked for the best in her students.
"Where somebody else saw a difficult child, Ali saw potential," she shared.
Matthew reflected on the couple's life together, recalling how they "lived paycheck to paycheck" during the early stages of their relationship. He added how Allison continued to support him through every challenge.
"Every major decision point in our lives, you took me by the hand, you pulled me. You said it would be okay, that you believed in me, in us," he was quoted saying.
