Stubb's Dr Pepper Bbq Sauce is a Taste of Texas in a Bottle

It's the Lone Star State packaged up in a bottle

There's absolutely nothing more "Texas" than Dr Pepper and BBQ. I've been grilling with Stubb's original bbq sauce for years and believe it's the best barbecue sauce in the grocery store. That is, until just a few days ago when I spotted Stubb's Dr Pepper legendary Bar-B-Q sauce sitting proudly on the shelf. I immediately grabbed a bottle and let me tell you, it's the Lone Star State packaged up in a bottle.

All About Stubb's

Stubb's Legendary Bar-B-Q got its start in Lubbock, TX, after C.B. Stubblefield, known simply as "Stubb", opened his own Bar-B-Q joint after feeding thousands as a mess sergeant during the Korean War. He started bottling his signature sauces in old whiskey bottles and jam jars for customers to take home, and in 1992 (over 20 years after he opened Legendary Stubb's restaurant) the iconic brand was finally available in stores.

Today the brand sells nine mouth-watering sauces including Sticky Sweet, Sweet Heat, Hickory Bourbon, Honey Pecan, and Dr Pepper. Made from all-natural flavors, these condiments are great as a marinade for your steak or a topping for your pork ribs.

This sauce is a piece of Texas history and a one of a kind match made in Lone Star heaven according to the Stubb's website. Made will all-natural ingredients including brown sugar, tomato paste, apple cider vinegar, and molasses, the Dr Pepper Bar-b-q sauce also includes Natural Hickory Smoke Flavor and Rochester Sauce, which is a hot sauce spiced with tamarind, corn syrup, and celery powder.

Certified gluten-free, the smokey and Dr peppery sauce contains the perfect blends of delicious flavors that go great with anything from chicken to pulled pork. Finish the meal with a Dr Pepper ice cream sundae and make Charles Alderton proud.
