Just days after Glen Campbell passed away, Chris Stapleton honored the country legend with a rousing cover of his trademark hit "Rhinestone Cowboy."
Stapleton was performing in Hershey, Pa. as a part of his ongoing All-American Road Show Tour when he took a moment to honor Campbell.
"I'm gonna try to do a Glen Campbell song tonight, not because I'm gonna do a great job with it, but because I want to pay my respects to Mr. Campbell," Stapleton said onstage. "Please forgive me if I don't quite do Glen Campbell justice. I'm sending this out tonight to Glen, wherever you're at tonight, Mr. Campbell."
Campbell passed away after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's on Aug. 8. Although his family had been open about the evolution of his disease, the loss still hit the country community hard.
