Earlier this month, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton reportedly was self-harming at his Miami home and apparently livestreaming it. Alarmed, people who saw it summoned emergency help for him. Hilton was then transported to a hospital. Now, given the gravity of his health crisis, his mom has apparently filed for temporary custody of Perez Hilton's kids.

Hilton Apparently Signed off on the Custody Arrangement
Per Page Six, "Page Six can exclusively reveal Teresita Lavandeira filed for temporary custody of Hilton's three children — Mario, 13, Mia, 11, and Mayte, 8 — on Aug. 7." He reportedly "voluntarily consented" to the arrangement.
Per the outlet, legal documents pertaining to the case say this. "I realize that by signing this document, I am consenting to the Petitioner having temporary legal custody of the minor children and that such temporary custody is in the best interest of the children." Hilton allegedly put his signature on the documents.
In the documents as reported by Page Six, Hilton acknowledges that the arrangement is temporary. He also seemingly agreed to a "transition plan" before the children are returned to his care.
His Mom Asked That the Case Be Sealed To Safeguard the Kids' Privacy
The lawyer representing Teresita Lavandeira issued a statement to the outlet. It said, "My main concern and objective, as well as the family's, is to protect the children and make sure they are safe. We want them to have some sense of normalcy as they begin their journey of healing after the tragic events that occurred last week."
Hilton Had Some Major Traumas Prior to His Current Situation
Even before now, Perez Hilton had plenty on his plate to deal with. Just one of these problems would have been a lot to handle. All of them may have seemed insurmountable. Per the outlet, he endured serious medical challenges in the recent past. Among them were a blood clot, an ulcer, and sepsis. Hilton's relocation to Miami from Las Vegas was also hard. And he has mounting medical bills.
Someone supposedly in the know confided to the outlet, "His health struggles this year have been extreme. The sepsis honestly almost killed him. I don't know if people realize just how traumatic and horrific that was for him, both physically, but also emotionally."
