Country star Miranda Lambert is teaming up with pop-punk rockers Green Day for a special duet. Lambert joined lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong for a reimagined duet version of their song "Ordinary World," which was originally featured on the band's 2016 record, Revolution Radio.

The cut is featured on Green Day's Greatest Hits: God's Favorite Band, which dropped today. The pairing might initially seem like a strange choice. But this isn't the first time Lambert and Armstrong have worked together. They previously performed the Everly Brothers' classic hit "When Will I Be Loved" for a special tribute during the 2014 Grammy Awards.

In 2013, Armstrong channeled his own country side by releasing Foreverly, a cover version of the Everly Brothers' 1958 album Songs Our Daddy Taught Us. That project also featured vocals from singer-songwriter Norah Jones.

Miranda Lambert and Green Day's "Ordinary World" Lyrics:

Where can I find the city of shining light
In an ordinary world?
How can I leave a buried treasure behind
In an ordinary world?

The days into years roll by
It's where that I live until I die
Ordinary world

What would you wish if you saw a shooting star
In an ordinary world?
I'd walk to the end of the earth and afar
In an ordinary world

Baby, I don't have much
But what we have is more than enough
Ordinary world

Where can I find the city of shining light?
In an ordinary world
How can I leave a buried treasure behind?
In an ordinary world

Baby, I don't have much
But what we have is more than enough
Ordinary world
