The family of Luke Combs, his spouse Nicole and their firstborn Tex Lawrence grew to four a little earlier than expected. The couple announced Thursday (Aug. 31) on social media that a son named Beau Lee Combs was born on Aug. 15 despite being due in September.
Combs and Hocking added no details to a short video clip that shows a baby picture, aside from their new baby's name and the caption "Welcome to the world. We couldn't love you more."
Combs' World Tour wrapped up last Saturday (Aug, 26), and Dad won't hit the road again until leaving for Europe at the end of the month.
The proud parents welcomed Tex Lawrence Combs on June 19, 2022 —which happened to be Father's Day— and shared photos of their newborn on Instagram. In a social media Q&A in July 2022, Nicole revealed that their son's name had some personal meaning behind it. Tex was in honor of Luke's great uncle, and Lawrence was after her father. No word yet on the origin of the name Beau Lee.
In March 2023, the couple announced that they were expecting a second child in less than two years. Combs has joked that half of his growing family will be the "2 under 2 club."
"We're getting ready," Combs told People on 2023 ACM Awards red carpet. "We're just in it. We're in the trenches, taping grenades. [We're] excited for the second one. They're gonna be close [in age], but I feel like we'll be in practice."
Beau Lee's birthday falls two weeks after his parent's anniversary. The country singer and his longtime partner wed on Aug. 1, 2020.
