In 1997, when LeAnn Rimes was only 14-years-old, she recorded "How Do I Live," a track written by Diane Warren that would catapult her to fame. The song transcended categories and reached No. 2 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart where it hung out for 69 weeks. "How Do I Live" even earned Rimes a Grammy nomination at the ripe old age of 15.

Rimes was only a young teen while singing the heavy lyrics of the song that opens with the lines: "How do I get through one night without you/If I had to live without you/What kinda life would that be/Oh I need you in my arms, need you to hold/You are my world, my heart, my soul."

Since then, Rimes has gone through major life events and spent years in the spotlight, so her connection to the words she recorded as a teenager has changed. Rimes decided to work on a new arrangement of her hit for her tour last year, and fans really connected to the ballad.

Though Rimes's vocals were always mature, "How Do I Live (Re-Imagined)" feels like a much more adult version of the song with a meditation on each line. The result is a beautiful cry over a question that can't be answered.
