In the new season, country singers Keith Urban and Thomas Rhett will join the cast of The Voice with the important role of advisors during the Battle Rounds of the NBC competition. Urban will assist his buddy Blake Shelton's team while Rhett is happy to jump on with last season's winning coach, Kelly Clarkson, who recently lead Brynn Cartelli to victory.
Season 15 of The Voice doesn't start up until September 24, but the show is already creating buzz by announcing the advisors who will step in and help the coaches after they choose their teams. To serve as advisors, musicians should give additional insight on which songs the contestants should sing and how they can step up their performances on stage in front of the show's large in-studio and TV audience.

Per NBC's tweet, Halsey will join Team Jennifer Hudson (who took last season off). Former coach CeeLo Green will assist Team Adam Levine. But country music advisors seem to help make up ultra-strong combinations. Last season, Clarkson had the assistance of country artist Cassadee Pope and Clarkson's "nemesis" and four-time winner, Blake Shelton, teamed up with his friend Trace Adkins.

Keith Urban already has quite a bit of experience under his belt when it comes to singing competition shows since he was a judge on FOX's American Idol for the show's final four seasons. Thomas Rhett, on the other hand, will be new to the major television reality competition game. But with Rhett's talent for songwriting and performing, he could easily help Team Clarkson secure another win.
Urban and Rhett both released new records this year. Urban is currently touring in support of Graffiti U with Kelsea Ballerini while Rhett is promoting Life Changes on the road with Kenny Chesney.
