Jay Leno has been actively helping the firefighters in Los Angeles beat back the wildfires by cooking them hot meals. In his vintage fire truck, he's been driving around to relief sites to feed the active responders.

FOX News Channel's Your World interviewed the comedian about his volunteering. There, he opened up a little on why he's doing what he's doing, and about his experience.
In a previous interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper, Leno compared the wildfires' damaging effect with Hiroshima. He also compared the ongoing disaster to 9/11, as that was the last time he saw a community band together on this scale.
Such thoughts continued with Leno when he spoke to Fox.
"That's me. I'm just helping out and trying to do what I can and just have fun. And they're so grateful. And the great thing is, I haven't heard a political discussion for the last four days," he said, opening up on why he's helping out.
"Nobody's blaming this or that. They're fighting a fire. These guys have no opinion. I'm sure they have opinions, but it's not a blame game at this point," he continued.
"Everybody else in L.A. is pointing fingers and blaming people. These are the people actually doing something and fixing it. And so, if I can be a part of that group, instead of the other group, it's fun."
Jay Leno Is Helping The Firefighters Because They're Actively Fighting, And Not Blaming
Does anyone need a better reason to help anyone other than simply that they're doing something? He's helping out because he can, and he'd much rather be physically helping than sat with others who are doing nothing but blaming.
Leno also said that the firefighters in L.A. are beyond commendable. "I think the L.A. Fire Department is probably the best in the world," he said. "It's like a military. I was at -- in Afghanistan, Bagram Air Force Base. It looked like that."
"You pull in, kind of a hospital area here, men in tents sleeping over there, and men and women doing things over here. I mean, they're doing it. They're coordinating with helicopters. And it's really a military operation on the biggest scale. It's pretty amazing to watch."
I'm sure seeing that is inspiring enough to throw your chef's hat on and make some solid food for those out there doing the work.
Keep doing what you're doing, Leno.
