Texas Pickle Juice Company Receives USDA Organic Certification

We're hard believers in the power of pickle juice around here. Whether we're touting the health benefits of the elixir or finding the easiest ways to buy a gallon of pure Texas pickle juice, we can't seem to get pickles off the brain. We might have declared 2017 the year of the pickle, but with this news from The Pickle Juice Company in Mesquite, Texas, it seems 2018 could just as pickle-powered. If you don't know by now, drinking pickle juice increases your body's natural functions in a variety of ways. From preventing cramping to helping to prevent heart disease, pickle brine is one of the healthier drinks you can sip before a workout.

Born in 2001, The Pickle Juice Company is responsible for the only trademarked and purpose-built functional Pickle Juice sports beverage. You've probably seen Pickle Juice around, but you might not know that it quietly received USDA organic certification recently, meaning it can now feature Pickle Juice with the USDA organic label. The organic label promises that the sports drink officially "contains a minimum of 95 percent organic ingredients, and highlights its lack of additives, artificial preservatives, colors, or flavors." This matters to The Pickle Juice Company because at the heart of their mission was always to provide a wellness formula as a healthier alternative.

As Filip Keuppens, vice president of global sales and marketing for The Pickle Juice Company, stated in the press release:

"Receiving USDA organic certification represents another step in our ongoing effort to produce the best, most functional and healthiest products available. We are extremely proud to be working with a beverage line that offers consumers the only all-natural and proven solution to muscle cramps and dehydration. It's important to us that consumers know that Pickle Juice® is a healthy alternative to the many sugary and synthetic drinks that seem to dominate the market. We are proud of our brand's dedication to serving a quality sports drink, which contains only pure and natural ingredients, including key electrolytes and vitamins."

And it's not just one product, either. The entire product line from The Pickle Juice will display the USDA organic seal. This extends to the 8-ounce and 16-ounce bottles of 100% Natural Pickle Juice Sport, 2.5-ounce shots and 1 liter bottles of its 100% Natural Extra Strength Pickle Juice formula, and 1 liter bottles of Pickle Juice Chaser. The new formula debuts at the end of January, and is expected to hit markets soon after.

Why does an organic seal matter for pickle juice? Interestingly enough, fermented pickle juice from a jar of pickles can often contain additives designed to preserve the jars for a long shelf life.

With Pickle Juice, it was specifically design to address muscle cramps and to aid in hydration by offering a natural form of electrolytes. In fact, according to the recipe, it contains 10 times the amount of electrolytes found in common sports drinks.

You can find Pickle Juice products on Amazon in bulk, which makes the most sense for pickle juice buys if you ask us. The caffeine free, sugar free, and gluten free beverage is perfect for athletes, both casual and serious, who deal with cramping regularly. So pickleback shots, anyone?
