The entertainment industry is still grieving the loss of childhood acting star Hayden Panettiere. The Nashville and Heroesstar was pronounced dead in August after being found unresponsive in a South Carolina rental property.

Hayden Panettiere Memorialized in Malibu
Nearly one month after her passing, the actress was memorialized. The service took place on Saturday (September 21) in Malibu, California. Several of the industry tastemakers were in attendance to pay respects. Among the attendees were Nashville co-star Connie Britton, as well as actors Evan Ross and Ruby Rose, and reality star Paris Hilton.
Per TMZ, Britton gave a speech. Another one of Panettiere's Nashville co-stars, Charles Esten, paid tribute to the late actress through song. According to the outlet, he performed one of Panettiere's tracks from the show.
Other Nashville co-stars who attended the service included Lennon Stella and Jonathan Jackson.
Per TMZ, Hayden's mother, Lesley Vogel, did not attend her daughter's memorial service. Per the outlet, the service was organized by Hayden's father, Skip, and Lesley was not invited. However, Vogel told the outlet that she did not attend the service due to a family emergency.
Panettiere's on-again, off-again boyfriend Brian Hickerson was not in attendance at the service. Hickerson was at the rental property along with his brother Zachary when they discovered Hayden unresponsive.
Police believe that Panettiere took a black-market oxycodone pill that was laced with fentanyl before boarding a flight from Los Angeles to South Carolina back in August.
Earlier this month, TMZ reported that the Drug Enforcement Administration DEA was "zeroing in on a drug dealer" who played a role in her death. Another report claimed that the same investigators uncovered a slew of texts between Panettiere and the alleged supplier that could connect him to her death.
No arrests have been made in connection with the actress's death. However, the investigation is still ongoing.
