This Green Apple Moonshine is Infused with Jolly Rancher Candy

Necessity is the mother of invention. Or, in this case, the bartender of invention. You can DIY fun, fruity mixed drinks with just some liquor and your favorite piece of hard candy. As far as easy cocktail recipes go, this one also uses up that bag of Jolly Ranchers leftover from Halloween or the office candy jar. Green apple moonshine is the best of all worlds and it's so simple to make a batch for a summer backyard BBQs or to watch the big game with friends.

Everybody has their own personal favorite flavor when it comes to Jolly Rancher candies, but even if you don't like the green Jolly Ranchers, you'll love this green apple Jolly Rancher moonshine recipe.

Flavored moonshine is a yummy addition to any bar cart or alcoholic drink line-up. This Jolly Rancher moonshine tastes just like candy!

Green Apple Moonshine

Honestly, it couldn't be easier. The most work you do to create this easy recipe is unwrapping 56 Jolly Ranchers; unfortunately, no one has come up with a faster way to do that yet. My advice is to recruit help by promising the fruits of their labors in liquid form later on.

Simply drop the Jolly Ranchers into some water in a sauce pan and heat until the candy is melted. Let it cool and then pour, dividing the liquid between six mason jars. Add about 3/4 cup of moonshine or Everclear to each jar; we suggest using a 16 oz mason jar with room for ice and a little Sprite to top off the drink. And just a reminder that both homemade moonshine and Everclear tend to be potent alcoholic beverages with a high ABV (alcohol content), so drink these mindfully.

Sour Apple Moonshine

If you're short on candy and want to make a super sour moonshine that'll make you pucker, you can use sour apple Kool-Aid and sour apple martini mix. You'll combine water, 2 cups sugar and the Kool-Aid and cook until sugar dissolves. Once is reaches room temperature, you'll add apple pucker, apple martini mix, and sour apple vodka. Pour in 150 proof shine and add some granny smith apples for texture and color. Let jars sit in a cool, dark place for 14 days.

If you're looking for the perfect homemade gift for someone that likes to entertain, this inexpensive recipe is a fun one to give. You can wrap a bottle of moonshine and a bag of Jolly Ranchers together along with a printed copy of the recipe. And yes, you can make grape Jolly Rancher moonshine as well, or you can use watermelon, blue raspberry, or peach moonshine for a fun bunch of party drinks. You can use your Jolly Rancher moonshine to make fun cocktails; swap your moonshine in for vodka in any drink recipe. You might try a spin on a cosmo, vodka martini or any other vodka cocktail.
